Claire Lydia Ray, The Network Manager, established her business as a Virtual Office Manager in April 2007 and began to build her global network a few months later in response to small businesses wanting to expand their operations into places such as Spain, Portugal and Sydney, Australia.
In order to inspire small businesses to use such a network, she had already begun by joining the Federation of Small Businesses in the Manchester and North Cheshire Region in May 2007 and then by visiting, as a substitute speaker, local BNI chapters.
Now, she is a member of the UKAVA and numbers amongst the Powernetworkers at ecademy.com and is a member of the High Yellow Club amongst others. Recently she joined WeCanDo.biz to find referral leads for her global network of Virtual Office Managers.
She is developing a guide to networking based on her experience of 30 years in a variety of organisations and on a set of principles to which she has tried to live during her family, social and working life.

"Grant me the courage to change the things I can change, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference." - Reinhold Nieburh |
GLOBAL NETWORKING WITH A HEART
Claire Lydia Ray, T/as VOMnet-UK wants to introduce to you a new global life of networking where no-one, who truly cares about other members, will harm anyone but will care about their business as they would their own.
Here are the Principles that govern this network of Virtual Office Managers:
-
Be sincere in your attachment to other contacts
-
Detest wrongful use but ensure that yours is beyond reproach
-
Be attached to one another just like a family
-
Respect others needs above your own
-
Always be loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled
-
Be patient in times of trouble and never give up hope
-
Persevere in prayer and your faith
-
Take care of those in need
-
Welcome strangers into your network
-
Thank those who ill treat you but do not retaliate
-
Share in others happiness and sadness
-
Be friendly with everyone
-
Be ordinary and not overly proud of your achievements
-
Earn the respect of others and deal with them in peace
-
Don't let wrong conduct defeat you but beat it with excellence
As Networkers and Contacts we all come from different cultures and backgrounds and I hope that we can eliminate what some would see as barriers by acting in harmony with these guidelines.
Let's show the world how it could be a much better place in which to live and work if we all tried our best and didn't see barriers but saw differences to embrace and understand.
